Types of water used in power plants
The process of water in the water vapor cycle system of thermal power plant is different, and the water quality is often quite different. According to the practical needs, people often give these water different names. It is summarized as follows:
(1) Raw water: also known as raw water, without any treatment
(2) Boiler make-up water: the raw water is purified by various water treatment processes to supplement the water lost by steam and water in power plant.
(3) Feed water: the water sent to the boiler is called feed water. It is mainly composed of condensate and boiler make-up water.
(4) Boiler water: the water flowing in the evaporation system of the boiler body is called boiler water, which is conventionally referred to as boiler water.
(5) Boiler sewage: in order to prevent boiler scaling and improve steam quality, a part of boiler water is discharged by sewage discharge, which is called boiler sewage.
(6) Condensate: steam in the turbine work, the cooling water condensed into water, it is the main part of the boiler feed water.
(7) Cooling water: the water used as cooling medium is cooling water. It mainly refers to the cooling water used to cool the steam after work. If the water is recycled, it is called circulating cooling water.
(8) Drainage: after the steam entering the heater heats the feed water, the water cooled by this part of the steam and the water condensed by the steam in the steam system when the unit is shut down are all called drainage.
In the process of water treatment, there are also so-called clean water, softened water, desalted water and self used water.
